Laura Karpman to Score 'Captain America' Movie
First Female Composer for a Marvel Superhero Film
Karpman's Previous Work Includes 'The Batman' and 'Barbarian'
Laura Karpman has been tapped to compose the score for Marvel's upcoming film "Captain America: New World Order." The announcement was made by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who praised Karpman's "incredible talent and ability to bring depth and emotion to her work."
Karpman is the first female composer to score a Marvel superhero film. She has previously composed the scores for critically acclaimed films such as "The Batman," "Barbarian," and "The Invitation."
"I am thrilled and honored to be joining the Marvel family and to be a part of such an iconic franchise," said Karpman. "I can't wait to bring my own unique voice to the world of Captain America and to help bring this new chapter in his story to life."
"Captain America: New World Order" is set to release in theaters on May 3, 2024. The film will star Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross, and Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres.
